08-18-08 The Oklahoma VS Nebraska game will take place at the Memorial Stadium in Norman Oklahoma on November 1, 2008. Bo Pelini will begin his first season as Nebraska’s head coach. He has coached high school, college, and even pro football before his return to Nebraska in 2007. His belief in discipline and hard work is exactly what the Cornhuskers need to start their season off right. Fifth year Joe Ganz will begin his first full season as starting quarterback for Nebraska. He started in three games in the 2007 season and managed to break many school records in a short amount of time. Ganz is not quite as experienced as the 10 returning starting quarterbacks in the Big 12 Conference, but his confidence and hard work is all that Nebraska needs to be victorious. Bob Stoops, coach for the Oklahoma Sooners, has full confidence in sophomore Sam Bradford, quarterback for the Sooners. He currently holds the NCAA record for touchdown passes by a freshman. Bradford owes much of his success to his offensive line, who was voted preseason choice for college football’s best unit in 2007. The Sooners will have five senior offensive linemen returning this season, giving Bradford plenty of coverage to work his magic. Oklahoma is currently number 4 in preseason ranking.
